The history of Blakers Park

In 1893 the area that is now Blakers Park was donated to Brighton by Mr. Alderman J.G. Blaker for the "free use and enjoyment of the inhabitants and visitors for the purposes of recreation." Now, over a century later, it is still a much loved green space and has become a real pocket paradise in the heart of Fiveways.
