Tuesdays from 5pm

Saturdays 1-5pm.

At other times the two hard tennis courts are free for the public. While many people sometimes gather here to play other games, tennis players have priority.

  • how do you become a member of the tennis club and what is the cost?

  • The tennis club is run by Blakers Park Tennis Club and not by the Friends of Blakers Park. It is an excellent tennis club which likes to win as many matches as possible in the Brighton Parks League. I’ll forward your enquiry to the tennis club’s secretary.

  • Hi,

On the days reserved for the tennis club (Tuesdays and alternate Thursdays) what time are they reserved until?

    Thanks

    Sarah

  • Hi Sarah,
During the match season, which is ending this month, the tennis club has the courts reserved every Tuesday evening and alternate Wednesdays and Thursdays until they have completed their matches. As the matches vary in duration, there is no specific time. The club also reserves the courts on Saturday afternoons throughout the year and on Sunday mornings from Easter to September.

  • Hello, I was just wondering what time the tennis courts are open til? And also if you can rent balls and rackets from there? Many thanks, Geneva.

  • Dear Geneva,
Thank you for your enquiry and apologies for the delay in replyng. The tennis courts are never closed. They are open to the public at all times except on Saturday afternoons, Sunday mornings from 11am to 1pm, and on Tuesdya and Wednesday evenings when they are reserved for members of the Blakers Park Tennis Club. Unfortunately it is not possible to rent balls and rackets.
I hope you get to enjoy the courts.
