October 2025 update.
The clock mechanism was fixed in July the team from Lee Sullivan came along to clean and paint the clock base. The four clock faces are now cleaned too. We are delighted and many thanks to everyone who made this possible.
The tower itself is made of steel, cast iron and bronze and finished with a dolphin weathervane.The distinctive decoration and delicate design add to its rarity as one of the few remaining Victorian clock towers still in its original park setting.
We worked in partnership with the Brighton & Hove City Council, who will continue to provide annual servicing and seasonal time changes to the clock.
